Abstract
Though by no means a philosopher of mathematics,
at the request of the editors Hannes Leitgeb &
Vincent Hendricks of "Philosophy of Mathematics,
Five Questions", Automatic Press, Roskilde, DK,
I state my personal views on what the philosophy
of mathematics should be about: real ideas and
issues underlying working mathematics, rather
than the often highly system-generated concerns of
foundational research, which need critical scrutiny.
