Abstract
I reflect on my encounters with Frans Zwarts, and what makes language and logic meet. The main themes are what the logical semantic topics of the early 1980s such as generalized quantifiers, natural logic, and semantic automata, look like in a perspective of agent logics where the linguistic agents themselves are modeled explicitly.
